OJO SARCO

golden fields in the distance with blue mountains beyond

A drive through the tall pines of the Carson National Forest takes you to Ojo Sarco, believed to be named for a spring in a nearby cañadaor glen. The name was sometimes spelled Ojo Zarco. "Ojo" means "spring" and "zarco" means "light blue".
